Installment 002 in the MAXIMUM MUSIC CAMPAIGN is here. FEMININE IMPRESSIONS is an EP of four brand new lofi/chillhop tracks. It is of the same creative field that spawned the forthcoming FOUR GIRLS and FOUR MORE GIRLS EPs scheduled for early 2024 release, and we’ll get into an update on that pair of minis in a moment…

Like the forthcoming EPs, FEMININE IMPRESSIONS paints aural pictures of four different young women with varying interests, moods, and experiences. One of the tracks, “A Girl Making Lofi Music With Used Garage Sale Analog Gear”, is a ‘sequel’ to “A Girl Making Her Own Lofi Music” on FOUR GIRLS. What a minute, how does a sequel to a track that isn’t coming out until the beginning of next month make sense? Simple: The track itself was composed and recorded after FOUR GIRLS and FOUR MORE GIRLS had been mixed, mastered, and submitted to Bandcamp and Distrokid via Toy Piano’s label KNNO Sounds.

There is also “A Girl Looking Into Her Mirror”, the chord sequence of which is inspired by a classic 60’s pop hit; “A Girl Dreaming About Her Long-Distance Lover” (we’ve all been there, haven’t we?), and “A Girl Stealing Kisses In A Quiet Corner At A Party”, which brings some vaporware influence (Cat System Corp. telepath, death’s dynamic shroud, etc.) into the mix.

These recordings were performed and recorded using the popular VST/AU instruments Arcade by Output and DecentSampler by Decidedly, and partially mixed and mastered using SuperVHS from BabyAudio.

FEMININE IMPRESSIONS. Get a taste of what the world will be getting when FOUR GIRLS and FOUR MORE GIRLS drop in 2024… oh yeah, about those two EPs:

FOUR GIRLS is scheduled to come out on Apple Music, Spotify and Bandcamp on January 5, 2024. That date hasn’t changed. FOUR MORE GIRLS, however, is being moved up to January 12, 2024, four weeks earlier than the original scheduled date of February 2, 2023. That having been said, with the MAXIMUM MUSIC CAMPAIGN starting to slowly build momentum, Toy Piano and KNNO Sounds are seriously considering dropping an early Christmas present via their Bandcamp page if all goes well.
