“This one is personal. On September 1, 2023, it will have been two years since my friend and birthday twin, Shannon Claire Spruill, better known to the world by her stage name Daffney Unger, died of suicide. I tend to think of her a lot, and one of those times was when I was writing material for what led to LOONA and composed this piece. Another time was during the sessions for TOY PIANO I when I wrote Heart Sign For Shannon. When the rest of LOONA morphed into the shape became, I knew two things: One is that this composition would not fit anywhere on the album, either in mood or in album length. The other thing was that I wanted to put it out anyway at the same time. I decided release this on the day before the release of LOONA so that each release would have its day in the sun. This probably won’t be the last time Shannon inspires my music. Shannon, thank you for being my friend when you were here on Earth with us and for being my muse from beyond the next dimension now. I miss you and I love you.” - CJ Marsicano

PROCEEDS FROM THIS SINGLE WILL BE DONATED TO SUICIDE PREVENTION ORGANIZATIONS IN THE LOVING MEMORY OF SHANNON CLAIRE “DAFFNEY” SPRUILL.
